Bequests comprise property that is bequeathed in a will. Bequests are 100% tax deductible for federal and state estate taxes and may place your estate in a lower estate tax bracket. The three most common ways to make a bequest to a charity are:
  • To donate a percentage of your estate
  • To bequeath a specific dollar amount
  • To leave the residue of all your estate
You may designate a specific purpose for a bequest. For example, you might wish to utilize a bequest to support NCCF or establish a fund at NCCF in support of an area of interest, such as education. Or you might wish to establish a planned giving vehicle with NCCF in support of your favorite charity.

NCCF would be happy to discuss your philanthropic objectives with you so that you will have a full understanding of how we can help you create your legacy based on your wishes. Please consult your attorney if you feel that a bequest clause in your will is an option you would like to pursue. Advance knowledge of future bequests to NCCF would give us the opportunity to express our thanks, but this is not necessary.
