![]() National Catholic Community Foundation is a collection of donor advised funds wherein each donor contributes assets at the creation of the fund and retains the right to advise on how distributions are made from that fund among various charities. Although donors retain the right to advise, NCCF's trustees have the final authority over distributions. In fact, the Trustees are required by law to ensure that grants are made in accord with the foundation’s purpose, in the best interests of the community served, and in accordance with the original intent of the donor if a beneficiary organization suggested by a donor ceases to exist or substantially alters its purposes. NCCF provides investment management and record keeping for the assets received and funds distributed. Modeled after more than 800 community foundations in the United States, NCCF provides the means by which a donor can benefit charitable activities that reflect the Gospel, whether these activities serve the ministries of the Catholic Church, specifically, or the community in general.
