Convinced that the heart of the Good Shepherd is a relationship expressed through ministry, community life, and prayer, the Sisters of the Good Shepherd seek to foster in each person a sense of belonging, dignity, and hope. They position themselves to help people build strong lives and neighborhoods through counseling, education, community action, day and foster care, adoption, and a host of community-based programs. The Good Shepherd's apostolic works focus on the needs of women and children, who disproportionately represent the poor of our world. |

The Transitional Living Center is dedicated to providing trasitional housing and supportive services for homeless women with children. In the spirit of justice and love, TLC promotes the growth and development of those it serves by empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness in their lives enabling them to experience healing and wholeness. Miryam's House provides a nurturing homelike environment for women recovering from crises in their lives such as abuse, domestic violence, addiction, and the results of poverty.
